Foreign Military Sales

Sharp is part of a team of nine companies that provide services to NAVSEA and foreign navies to support the US Navy's Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program for the reactivation, transfer, and life cycle support of former US Navy ships.  Headed by the prime contractor VSE Corporation of Alexandria, Virginia, the FMS team is commonly called "BAV".

George G. Sharp, Inc. is the naval architecture/marine engineering arm of the BAV FMS Team.  We provide ship systems engineers for follow on technical support (FOTS) and ship reactivation project managers at the "BAV" headquarters staff ("Core Cadre") office, which is located in Arlington, Virginia.

Sharp field personnel support ship reactivation projects in the US and overseas.  Sharp instructors train foreign navy personnel worldwide to properly maintain and operate former US Navy ships.  Locally, Washington Office engineers and technicians perform ship and ship system design projects in support of reactivation projects and FOTS tasks.
